Children’s Education

Sunday School meets on Sunday morning at 9:45 AM. There is a class for all age groups. It is our belief that continuous life-long learning develops strong disciples of Jesus Christ. Currently during the pandemic Sunday School classes and other programs are not meeting.

Nursery Cradle Roll:  Includes babies from birth till 2 years of age and provides information on development for parents of our youngest ones. A nursery is provided on the main floor off the gathering place.

Preschool- This class for 3 year olds to Kindergarten age children provides early instruction in the Bible. Stories, songs and crafts support the active learning of these youngsters.  Mrs. Greta Pierce is loved by her little lambs. They gather in Room 5

Primary grades 1-2 is taught by Dorry Sankey. Working on discovering the basic truths of our faith this group meets in Room 7 off the Fellowship Hall.

Grades 5-8 are currently learning to Be Bold in their faith! The Be Bold curriculum creates a community of preteens and leaders affirming each other and growing together in Jesus. Every lesson is carefully designed to reach kids through a single Bible point and related games and activities that gets the kids talking and thinking. This group meets in Room 8.

Students and leaders are encouraged to dig deep and find answers to some of life’s hard questions.

Teachers:

Michelle Hemmerlin,  Jennifer Shea, and Sarah Coulter

Youth  6th through 12th grade are currently tackling the topics of the day and aligning their faith to these issues. Scripture provides guidance on these topics.

A Confirmation Class is provided every other year for those youth wishing to study what we believe and consider whether they wish to seek church membership. This class is usually taught by a ruling or teaching Elder.
